FOOD PANTRY

S.E.R.V.E. has an Emergency Assistance Food Pantry that provides assistance to families one time a month. We prepare boxes of nutritious food that will feed a family for a week. We encourage everyone to go to the Department of Social Services and apply for food stamps. For the most part, our pantry helps families with their food needs by supplementing their food stamps.

The problems in the economy have put a terrible strain on our available resources. On some days we are seeing up to 300% more families than we did a year ago. We are always in need of more food to distribute. Please contact us if you would lead a food drive in your church, neighborhood, workplace, civic organization, etc. YOU can help us help others! Without you, we couldn't do it!

COMMUNITY PHARMACY (NEW!)

SERVE is prescreening clients for the Community Pharmacy located in the Moss Clinic.  The Community Pharmacy Prescription Program helps provide medications that are needed on a continual basis for those who can't afford them.  (Click here for details.)

EMERGENCY FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE

Emergency Financial Assistance for Stafford County Residents provides up to $100 towards rent, utilities and urgent medications once in a twelve-month time period.

BUDGETING ASSISTANCE

We can help you learn budgeting skills that will benefit you and your family. Please call to schedule an appointment with our budgeting counselor. Let us help you plan for a better tomorrow.

RESOURCE CENTER

S.E.R.V.E. now offers computer access to those who are interested in learning basic computer skills, researching job opportunities, filling out online job applications, and pursuing similar opportunities via the Internet. Please call to schedule computer time or one-on-one assistance with your computer needs.

HOLIDAY PROGRAMS

With the help of our AMAZING community, we are able to provide wonderful Thanksgiving and Christmas "Baskets" of food, including turkeys to about 350 families during the Holidays. Each one is filled with all of the traditional foods that make these seasons so memorable. We also include foods for breakfast and lunch to go with all of the turkey dinner menu items.

This is an amazing program, but the need is always so great that it is a big struggle to come up with the amount of food needed. If you would like to help us to be better prepared before the seasonal rush, we can use as many turkeys and grocery cards as we can get our hands on! Financial donations are always gladly accepted, too!

We could especially use a resource that will let us purchase turkeys at cost. If you know of one, please let us know!
